Raspberry Pi: Eben Upton talks about its origins and the University of Cambridge

Dr Eben Upton talks about the experiences and observations that led to the production of the phenomenally popular Raspberry Pi.

He describes how the goal was to increase the number of applicants to computer science courses at university, but then discovered other markets in the hacking/making communities and in the developing world.

Eben sought knowledge and skills in brand development, partnership working and raising capital by completing the Cambridge Executive MBA at Cambridge Judge Business School.

‘Raspberry Pi is a credit card sized computer. It does everything that a conventional computer can do, but it’s very small and very cheap.”
