Caroline Joyce and the Tigers won Sunday at Columbia.
Caroline Joyce provided the clincher as the Princeton women’s tennis team beat Columbia 4-3 to improve to 2-1 in the Ivy League and bounce back from Friday’s defeat against Cornell.
Princeton opened with a doubles-point win before Columbia took the match at first singles to even the score at 1-1. Gaby Pollner then won at sixth, followed by a Nicole Kalhorn win at fourth to take a 3-1 lead, and though Columbia took the match at second to pull within a point, Joyce rebounded from a first-set loss to take the last two frames and win at third, clinching the team win.
Princeton will host Yale and Brown next Friday and Saturday on the team’s final home weekend of the season.
