At the mere age of eight, I walked up the MET steps, only to turn around and take in the delightful rush of a typical New York City day. If one could breathe in happiness, I swear it did it that day – and every other day and time I came back to New York City. Flash forward eight years, and I’m back in the Big Apple for my godsister’s graduation: the 2016 Columbia University Commencement Ceremony, the place where it all started — my love for Columbia University. And of course, during my trip, I had to visit the MET and the Temple of Dendur, my favourite piece, again. This time, I am also able to visit a truly extraordinary exhibition, one that I had been reading about for several weeks leading up to the trip and one that is now one of my all-time favourite exhibits: Manus x Machina!
That brings me to the present day. My name is Audrey Ho and I am currently a high school senior at the University of Toronto Schools in Toronto, Canada. I am waitlisted for Columbia University and it would be my dream to join the class of 2022!
