Reports of active shooters on campus U-M seem unfounded

Information pointing to an active shooter on the campus of the University of Michigan appears unfounded, according to a statement released by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office.

The Public Safety and Security Division (DPSS) at the University of Michigan officially cleared the campus at approximately 7:50 pm

The update follows an emergency alert sent just before 5pm. from DPSS to "fight to hide" because of reports that a gunman was active at Mason Hall on his Ann Arbor campus.
